Charles Wood Perkins, Jr., 75, was born April 1, 1932 in Aley, Texas and passed away peacefully on March 23, 2008.
Charles was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and of Local #100 as a Pipe Fitter and Welder and was also an avid golfer. After retiring in 1987, he happily pursued his passion as a farmer until the advent of his short illness.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda Davis Perkins of Kaufman; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ricky Bingham of Burleson, TX; grandson, Matthew Bingham of Burleson; mother, Ruby Perkins and brother, Tommy Perkins, both of Kemp, TX.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Chapel with interment at Baker Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-8pm, Monday, March 24, 2008, at the funeral home.
